What Kaeru is

A desktop app that reads your project, makes the change you describe, and shows you the result before anything is final.

Step 1 of 5 · about a minute

What the app is, and what it does with a project.

Kaeru is a desktop app, on Mac now with Windows coming. You open your project in it, say what you want changed, in your own words, and Kaeru does the work: it reads your files, makes the edit, and shows you what changed before anything is final.

You never have to type a command. There is a real developer toolbox underneath, and Kaeru speaks its language so you do not have to.

Your project stays on your computer. Kaeru only looks at the parts it needs to while it is working on your request.

Kaeru's own interface, running in this frame — not a video, so you can use it. The request is a scripted example: nothing reaches an AI, and no file on your computer is touched. Click around it — the sidebar, the tabs, the theme names along the bottom. Nothing here can break anything. Open it full size.

What you are looking at

Your projects, down the left

Each one holds the pieces of work you have going in it. The frame shows two projects and three pieces of work.

The conversation, in the middle

Where you ask for things, and where Kaeru answers. This is where most of your time goes.

The result, on the right

Your site as it looks right now, the files themselves, and everything that has changed since your last save.

What's next

The rest of this tour follows one request from start to finish, beginning with asking for the change.
