Talk to Kaeru

Speak instead of typing. Kaeru listens, answers back, and does the work.

Press the microphone button next to the ask box, or tap the Kaeru frog, and just talk. Kaeru answers out loud and can make changes to your project while you speak.

What you can say

Anything you would type. "Make the title bigger." "What does this page do?" "Undo that." Kaeru understands normal speech; you do not need special words.

When Kaeru is about to change files, it says so and asks if you want it to go ahead. Say "yes" or "go ahead" and it does.

Ending a call

Say "bye", "that's all", or "thanks, done" and Kaeru hangs up. You can also press the button again. If neither of you has said anything for a while, Kaeru ends the call itself so it is not using up your minutes.

Your voice minutes

Talking uses voice minutes, which are separate from your requests. Your plan includes a number of minutes each month (see Plans and usage). Kaeru counts a minute at a time while the call is live, and shows you how many are left in Settings and on your dashboard. When they run out, Kaeru finishes the sentence and ends the call, then tells you why.

Privacy

Your voice goes to the speech service for the duration of the call and is not kept by Kaeru. Your project files are only read when you ask Kaeru to change something.
